My All Time Favorite Place To Eat

Whenever I go back to Dallas I always enjoy eating at my favorite restaurant. It is a Tex-Mex restaurant named Tejano. Tejano is in an old El Chico location in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas. I personally think that good food is a major problem in Arizona so one of the things that we enjoy when returning to Dallas is eating. Tejano is always at the top of the list.
When eating there you never know who you will see there. Many different types of people from all walks of life eat there. The prices are very reasonable but most of all the food is exceptional. When we were in Dallas in Januaray and early Febuarary this year we ate there maybe 3-4 times. I personally think I could have gone there maybe every other day but we didn't.
My wife's favorite plate is the #7 lunch. It is a cheese enchilda, a chicken flauta, and a puffed taco. I have had it and it is extremely good.
On my first visit there the fajita dinner for two was on special so my daughter and I shared it. Let me tell you, that was a lot of food. I couldn't believe how much we had. We had the chicken and beef fajitas mixed. Did I mention how much food there was? We ended up taking the leftovers with us and eating them the next day.
Did I mention that there was a lot of food? Maybe I did. But man was it good!
Latter in the week (Sunday afternoon to be exact) we returned to Tejano. My wife got the chicken enchildas. She enjos them made with flour tortillas. I must admit they are tasty.
But I enjoy the Mexican Dinner. Along with rice and beans you get two tamales and an enchilda. It is suppose to be a cheese enchilda but I always change it to a beef enchilda. One of my favorite meals there.
I do know that the day will come when I will hear the news that Tejano will have shut down. My heart will be broken and I will be sad. But until then, I will eat there whenever I am back in the Dallas area. If you are ever in Big D, check it out!!!!
