On the road that leads out to Point Imperial is an area that was struck by lightening a few years ago. Since the fire there the Aspen trees have taken over. They cover the area, as you can see.
The North Rim is covered with Aspens and pines. It is a very beautiful area.
I so enjoy watching the Aspen leaves move in the wind.
